1

SLVTC is a service provider based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, offering kitchen chimney, hob, cooktop (gas stove) and cooking range repair, installation, cleaning and maintenance services to residential homes.

We operate independently and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an authorized service center for any appliance manufacturer, unless such a relationship has been explicitly confirmed in writing for a specific brand partnership.

2
Services Offered

SLVTC provides professional services including, but not limited to:

  • Kitchen chimney repair, hob repair, cooktop repair (gas stove repair), cooking range repair
  • Chimney and hob installation, chimney reinstallation or shifting
  • Chimney and hob cleaning & preventive maintenance
  • Spare parts replacement, inspection and fault diagnosis
  • Annual maintenance services where applicable

Should this list change, the update will be reflected on our website along with a revised effective date. We will not add or remove core services in any manner that misrepresents what a customer has already booked or paid for.

3
Booking & Service Appointment

When booking a service, the customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate contact and address details
  • Sharing the correct appliance brand and model wherever possible
  • Ensuring the appliance is freely accessible at the scheduled appointment time
  • Ensuring electricity and gas supply are available so the appliance can be tested once service is complete

If the customer is unavailable at the scheduled time or asks to reschedule after the technician has already arrived, a visiting charge may apply. This charge, and its exact amount, will always be disclosed to the customer at the time of booking, not after the technician's arrival.

4
Pricing, Inspection & Visiting Charges

All charges are disclosed before the service is confirmed with no hidden or post-service fees.

An inspection and diagnosis charge of ₹300 applies and covers the technician's visit and professional assessment of the appliance. This charge is payable even if:

  • The customer chooses not to proceed with the repair
  • The appliance is beyond repair
  • Spare parts are unavailable
  • The repair is postponed after inspection
Once the inspection is completed, the ₹300 inspection charge is non-refundable. The customer is informed of this charge before the technician is dispatched.
5
Repair Estimate & Approval

Following inspection, the technician will communicate:

  • The fault diagnosis and recommended repair
  • The spare parts required along with their pricing
  • The applicable labour charges and an estimated completion time

This will be provided either in writing or verbally with a written follow-up. No chargeable repair work will begin without the customer's explicit approval of the quoted cost, and the customer will never be billed for work they did not agree to.

6
Spare Parts

Depending on availability, SLVTC may install genuine manufacturer parts (OEM), original compatible parts, or customer-approved equivalent parts. Availability depends on market supply and manufacturer support at the time of service.

The customer will be informed of both the type and price of any spare part before it is installed, and installation will proceed only once the customer has agreed to it.

7
Installation Services

The installation charge quoted at the time of booking covers only the standard installation specified at that time. It does not include:

  • Electrical wiring or gas pipeline work
  • Civil work, false ceiling modifications, or core cutting
  • Duct extension, additional ducting, clamps or brackets
  • Flexible pipes or electrical accessories

Unless one or more of these is specifically mentioned in the original quote. Where any of this additional work becomes necessary, SLVTC will inform the customer of the associated cost and proceed only after receiving approval.

8
Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Maintain a safe working environment for the technician
  • Remove fragile or valuable items from the work area
  • Keep children and pets away from the service area
  • Provide a proper electrical and gas supply
  • Verify the completed service before the technician departs

Failure to meet these responsibilities may delay or prevent completion of the service.

9
Cleaning Services

Basic and deep cleaning services are designed to remove oil deposits, grease, cooking residue, carbon deposits and dust accumulation from the appliance. These services do not include or guarantee:

  • Restoration of the appliance's original factory appearance
  • Removal of permanent stains or corrosion
  • Paint restoration or scratch removal
  • Replacement of already damaged components
10
Pre-Existing Appliance Condition

SLVTC is not responsible for defects that existed prior to service, including rusted components, brittle plastic parts, broken glass, loose wiring, damaged PCBs, or appliances that have been previously repaired or modified by others.

Some hidden defects may only become apparent once the appliance is opened during service. Where this happens, SLVTC will inform the customer before carrying out any further chargeable work.

11
Warranty

Warranty coverage applies only to labour performed by SLVTC and spare parts supplied and installed by SLVTC. It does not cover:

  • Physical, water, fire, pest, or rodent damage
  • Voltage fluctuations, lightning, improper use, or negligence
  • Commercial misuse, unauthorized repairs, or third-party modifications
  • Natural wear and tear
  • Consumables such as bulbs, batteries, seals, filters, rubber parts, adhesives, tapes and cosmetic components (unless stated otherwise in the service record)
The standard warranty period is 15 days from the date of service, unless a different duration is specified in writing on the customer's service report.
12
Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty becomes void if:

  • The appliance is subsequently opened or repaired by another service provider
  • Spare parts supplied by SLVTC are removed or altered
  • Electrical or gas connections are modified by unauthorized persons
  • Damage results from misuse, negligence, accidents, or improper installation carried out by others
13
Gas & Electrical Safety

Customers must immediately inform the technician if they:

  • Suspect a gas leak
  • Notice electrical sparking
  • Observe that the appliance has been exposed to water
  • Find that wiring appears damaged

SLVTC reserves the right to decline service where working conditions are unsafe, and will explain the reason for doing so.

14
Additional Work

If additional faults are discovered during the course of repair or installation, the technician will inform the customer of the issue and its cost before proceeding. Additional work is carried out only after the customer's approval and is never billed automatically.

15
Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service, unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance. SLVTC accepts payment via UPI, credit or debit card, net banking, and cash. We do not store customers' full card details.

Failure to make payment may result in suspension of warranty coverage and eligibility for future service.

16
Cancellation & Refund Policy

Customers may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge at any time before the technician is dispatched.

If a cancellation occurs after the technician has been dispatched or has already arrived, the disclosed visiting or inspection charge (Section 4) becomes payable and is non-refundable, as it covers technician time and travel already incurred.

Where a customer has paid in advance for a service that SLVTC is unable to deliver (e.g., no technician available or required part cannot be sourced within the agreed timeframe), the customer is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid for that undelivered service.

Refunds are processed within 7 business days to the customer's original payment method. Refunds are not provided for approved chargeable work that has already been completed, except where that work does not meet the specification agreed under Section 5.
17
Service Delays

SLVTC is not responsible for delays caused by traffic conditions, extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, labour disruptions, spare part shortages, or manufacturer delays. Where SLVTC becomes aware of such a delay, it will proactively inform the customer as soon as possible.

18
Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SLVTC's total liability for any claim relating to a service shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for that specific service.

SLVTC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages including loss of income, business interruption, food spoilage, or inconvenience arising from appliance failure, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable Indian consumer protection law.

19
Photographs & Data Use

For quality assurance, warranty verification, and service record purposes, technicians may photograph the appliance before, during, and after service. SLVTC does not intentionally capture personal or confidential information unrelated to the service.

Full details of how SLVTC collects, uses, and protects personal data are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

20
Customer Conduct

Customers are expected to treat SLVTC technicians with courtesy and respect. SLVTC reserves the right to discontinue a service if its technicians are subjected to abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unsafe behaviour, and will explain the reason for discontinuation to the customer.

21
Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from services provided by SLVTC is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

22
